The barn

Wandering through the unique coastal town of Half Moon Bay, you’d be forgiven for missing 514 Kelly Avenue. Tucked down a gravel road through a trellis of wild roses sits a barn, which dates back to the late 1800s, and which resides on unceded Ohlone land. Once a shelter for dairy cows, the barn is now a creaky, leaky, well-loved ceramic studio, where, over the years, a long line of artists have honed their craft.

The Work

It is endlessly gratifying to form a humble lump of clay into a functional, elegant vessel that you’ll reach for again and again.
